# Direct Hire Legal Coordinator Location: San Francisco

Our client is seeking a Legal Coordinator who can do the following:

Job Description:

Be the responsible in managing and coordinating with any and all external legal counsels all legal matters in connection with any and all renewable energy projects under development from time to time by the Company and/or companies within the same group of Company Corporación, S.l. principally in the country of USA, Canada, and if required, Mexico, central and south America.

Frequent and fluent report to the legal responsible in Spain concerning any and all legal affairs of the company and related companies.

3º Carry out the day to day legal operations of the company ( e.g. intercompany service agreements, Board resolutions, power of attorneys, members resolutions, administrative procedures, corporate compliance)  

4º Negotiation of land purchase or lease agreements

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Knowledgeable in essential corporate and contractual  matters, (e.g. Operating agreements, membership purchase agreements, board resolutions, state and county codes and regulations required by the local building department for development of renewable facilities and in particular solar projects.)
  • Knowledgeable in regulations required by the utility for the interconnection issues and approval process and project scheduling.
  • Identify means and methods to reduce costs, minimize risks, and increase speed of execution.

 

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Education:              Law degree. (Preferable US degree but not essential).

 

  • Experience:              between 2 and 4 years in connection with legal corporate and contractual matters and preferable in the renewable energy sector.

Manager Qualifications:

  • Identification of legal risks and issues and strong legal feeling(e.g. arising from external or internal Due Diligence reports)
  • Spanish language knowledge recommended
  • A personal commitment to a safe working environment.
  • Willingness to do whatever reasonably it takes to accomplish an objective.
  • Computer proficiency including MS Office Suite
  • Ability to document and report job progress clearly.
  • Experience in dealing with landowners and legal teams for the negotiation of lease and land purchase agreements.
  • Willingness to travel and attend off-site customer meetings
  • Interact with other technical and commercial staff of the company during the project development process.
