Initial Contact & Screening

Once initial contact has been made between you and KBA, either by phone, email or fax, one of our recruiters will review your resume. If we believe that we can assist you in achieving your career goals, one of our recruiters will call to discuss your experience and current search in more detail. During this screening, we will determine whether or when it is appropriate to schedule you for an appointment to meet with a recruiter in person. If at any point in our process we feel we cannot assist you in your search, we will do our best to refer you to a California Associates Personnel Consultant member in your chosen field.

The Day of Your Appointment

Once we set up an appointment with you, there are a few things you can do to prepare. If you have not done so already, please email a copy of your resume to your recruiter as a Word document. The day of your appointment, we ask that you bring a copy of your resume, your professional references and your completed application. In most cases, our initial interviews last about an hour. If you would like to register as a contract employee, we will need you to bring two forms of identification in order to complete an I-9 form. This in-person interview is meant to expound upon your phone interview, discuss current openings, and provide you with interviewing tips.

Circulating Your Resume

KBA complies with a strict code of ethics (link) and we recognize the importance of trust and discretion in our relationship. We will send your resume to our clients only after we have met you and you have approved the positions we discuss. When the client responds we will share their feedback with you. If they would like to schedule an interview with you we will set up an appointment that is convenient to your schedule. Throughout the interview process, we will share as much information as we can about the firm or corporations to prepare you for your interviews.

Follow-up Service & Support

We are here to assist you through the entire employment search process. Whenever you have a question, we will be there to answer it. If you receive an offer, we will present it to you and be there to answer any questions you may have about the offer. If during the process you should place yourself, we only ask that keep us apprised. We will be pleased for you! If you accept an offer through KBA, we will be checking in with you once you start your new job. Our goals are your goals.
